Can I change or remove my pledge?
Yes. Message us on Discord or email us and we will update or remove your entry.
What if someone breaks their pledge?
Our pledges rely on a system of trust, and we do not verify the claims of signatories. Evidence of reneging will result in the removal of the individual/groups signature, and they will be asked to remove any association to CFSAI in their public works including references to the pledge.
Is this anti-AI?
We believe that AI can be used for good and for benefitting the lives of others. However, using generative AI to create visual, literary or performing art never achieves this; rather, it has the potential for harmful consequences including plagiarism, reinforcing biases and cultural mode collapse.
We believe audiences should be able to choose whether to engage with generative or human-made works, but as AI capabilities continue to advance it becomes increasingly hard to differentiate between these as a viewer/consumer. As such, artists have a responsibility towards their audiences to make this information transparent.
